“We reached the café at 7.15pm and our food was served 45 minutes after placing the order. After making the payment, we realised we were charged over and above the MRP of packaged water. When we asked the reason, the staff of the café started misbehaving. When we protested, the manager and his workers assaulted me and my friend. I also had to slap one person in order to protect myself, ” the woman wrote in her social media post.
Other customers came to the rescue and took the duo out of the café. The manager, however, said nobody was assaulted. He said: “The man accused us of overcharging the water, but it is an industry norm. They started abusing our staff and disturbing other customers. We have started a probe.”
