Ludhiana: Gurpreet Singh (24), a private bus driver from Jassowal village, died after he lost control over his motorcycle due to a dust storm on Monday evening, and hit a pillar on the road in Julfgarh village of Machhiwara. The matter came to light on Tuesday morning when commuters noticed the body on the road.
On Tuesday evening, Gurpreet was going Jassowal village on his motorcycle after finishing his day’s work, but as he reached near Julfgarh village, he met with the mishap. Macchiwara police SHO inspector Ramaninderjit Singh said it was suspected that Gurpreet had lost his balance due to the dust storm and crashed his motorcycle into the pillar. The police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of CrPC.
