Professional courses where MCQ system is being introduced include all management, law, fine arts and self-finance courses like mass communication. The new pattern would be taken up by around 1,000 students of LU and 6,000 students of its associated colleges.
LU had introduced MCQ system in regular undergraduate courses like BA, BSc and BCom in December last year as part of the examination reforms.
“The decision will bring uniformity in the examination pattern and save university’s resources in conducting the examinations. With the new system in place, separate examinations will not be held for students of professional courses who had to answer theoretical questions till now,” said LU vice-chancellor SP Singh.
