Man leaps off Dasarahalli Metro station concourse | Bengaluru News


BENGALURU: Chaos prevailed at Dasarahalli Metro station on Tuesday when a youth jumped to the ground from the concourse after security guards questioned him over his suspicious behaviour.
Sandeep, 25, has been shifted to Sapthagiri Hospital and is under observation. “He was consuming either alcohol or drugs inside the bathroom when a passenger alerted station security,” police said.
BMRCL chief public relations officer BL Yeshwanth Chavan said at 3.30pm, a passenger complained to the guards about Sandeep, who was in the restroom. Guards tried to question Sandeep, who rushed through the house-keeping room and jumped to the ground 25 feet below.
He was rushed to Sapthagiri Hospital in an ambulance at 5pm. Later he was shifted to Victoria Hospital
Sandeep’s parents are Dasarahalli residents and employed with a private factory. Sandeep recently completed his PU in Kerala and came to Bengaluru in search of a job.
