Locals, tourists laud traffic regulation | Coimbatore News

Udhagamandalam: Traffic regulation in the town was highly appreciated by the locals and tourists as the five-day flower show kick-started on Friday. Nilgiris SP D Shanmuga Priya has drawn a traffic map for the town wherein the traffic would flow in a circular motion and heavy vehicles, including mini buses, would be stopped at entry points of the town.
“Traffic is efficiently regulated keeping in mind the locals too during this year’s flower show. Except at few junctions, the flow of traffic was smooth. Of course, Ooty is a small town,” L Ramesh Babu, a local resident, said.
Over 10,000 vehicles hit the hill town on Friday, according to police. “It was surprising. There was no traffic jam during our navigation through the town. The traffic is well regulated without any hindrance and waste of time,” G Lavish, a tourist from Bengaluru, said. TNN
