If no pact, Sheila Dikshit may contest from East Delhi | Delhi Lok Sabha Election News

Former chief minister Sheila Dikshit might contest from East Delhi parliamentary constituency if the AAP-Congress alliance doesn’t work out.

But if the alliance works out, then AAP will field a candidate here. Dikshit’s son, Sandeep Dikshit, was the East Delhi MP from 2004 to 2014. While senior Congress leaders said that the three time chief minister had agreed to contest, Dikshit refused to comment. “I will neither confirm nor deny. You will get to know (if I am contesting) in a day or two,” the Delhi Congress chief told TOI.

Also, if it goes alone, Congress may field a Poorvanchali celebrity from South Delhi while Olympian Sushil Kumar may contest from West Delhi.

Kapil Sibal and Ajay Maken will then contest on Chandni Chowk and New Delhi seats. Former MP JP Agarwal will be fielded from North East Delhi while former minister Rajkumar Chauhan will be the North West Delhi candidate.
