Former BSP councillor, husband to join Congress on Thursday | Punjab Lok Sabha Election News


CHANDIGARH: Former BSP councillor Jannat Jahan Ul Haq, who had also contested last Lok Sabha elections in 2014 on BSP ticket, will join Congress party on Thursday.

According to information, she along with her husband Hafiz Anwar Ul Haq, former Chandigarh BSP unit in-charge, will join the party at Congress Bhawan, Chandigarh in the presence of former Union minister and Congress candidate from Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat Pawan Kumar Bansal, and city Congress president Pardeep Chhabra.

This will be second major joining in Chandigarh Congress in recent days. Recently, former Chandigarh mayor Gurcharan Dass Kala had also joined Congress party.

In 2014 elections, Jannat Jahan had got 15,934 votes.
