Prakash Soni (46) lives at Sanskruti Flats in Naranpura and runs a jewellery shop in Manek Chowk. He has stated that Ghanshyam Soni, a resident of Nava Naroda, worked for him as a salesman for seven years.
“Ghanshyam was given the responsibility of delivering jewellery to various jewellers and to recover payments from them. Some two months ago, when Prakash demanded payment for jewellery from one particular jeweller, he told Prakash that he did not receive any jewellery from his company. When Prakash inquired into the matter, he found that Ghanshyam had raised a bill of around Rs 39 lakh for jewellery that he never delivereded to the jeweller,” the FIR states.
When Prakash asked Ghanshyam about this, he promised to return the jewellery by March 30, 2019.
“As neither the gold nor the money was returned, Prakash went to his house to inquire about it and found that Ghanshyam had gone missing and a complaint for that was filed with Nikol police,” said the FIR.
Prakash then approached Kalupur police and filed a complaint for breach of trust and cheating against Ghanshyam.
